Resolution won't change.

Hi, so I bought this game a few hours ago, installed it and went to check the options menu, now the resolution was 1440x900 but my screen goes up to 1680x1050 and I can see that resolution right there.. however when I press on Apply after I changed it to that resolution it will go back to 1440x900 with no warning and won't even try to change it, I even restarted the game and nothing happened. only a flashing black screen and back to that resolution and I know I can run games at 1680x1050 for a fact and after many years of gaming. thanks for the help if someone knows how to fix it.

but except than that the game is really fun and awesome and challenging at least for me, by the way how much of it is random? since I've seen some reviewers playing the game and my start were really similar. although I don't think it needs to be too roughlike since not all of the games in that genre have to be.

I noticed that on my computer too. I played the PC and Mac version. Mac doesn't allow you to choose a precise rez. (Instead you use a fader reducing and increasing the rez somewhere between 50% and 100%.)

On my PC, my native resolution is 1440x900, but the game brings it to ~1280x*something*.

This isn't a problem for me because my CPU and GPU are really crappy, but I guess it's not funny for you.

Well thanks for the answer, but its not that its not funny.
just weird is all, and besides that its a bit weird on the eyes but the game is immersive enough that I can try to forgive that, at least until they will put out a few more patches like they promised from what I read in this forum,
I have pretty strong computer, or at least an average one and I would like to see the game the way that is the best for me without too much problems, now I did however moved the game into a windowed mode and then put on a program that lets it be windowed borderless but the problem hit when I tried to go right with the mouse and it went into my second monitor, but it did however got to the right resolution! which got me thinking that this problem is not that big after all.. anyway I would be happy if you looked into it a bit more 11bit studios :) thanks.

Hello!

Is it with full screen or windowed mode? If it's full screen, we'd need more info - configuration list or maybe dxdiag file. :)

I have the same problem. Resolution options are weird - they do not correspond to resolutions typically presented in Direct3D based games and highest resolution I can choose is 1920x1080 while my native and top resolution is 1920x1200. Resolution change only works for windowed version of game presentation. While in fullscreen game defaults to native resolution (1920x1200 in my case - I don't even have this resolution as option in game's options as I've mentioned before) and changing resolution does nothing - I'm stuck at 1920x1200. I wanted to play with typical FullHD res 1080p and stream the game while maintaining 16:9 ratio but I can't :)

My quick specs: Windows 7 64bit, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 770, drivers: 344.65 and 344.75 were tested.

I can see that This War of Mine on Steam has been updated and proper resolutions (even with different refresh rates) are showing up on options screen and they DO work while in fullscreen. Great! Thanks! Dzięki wielkie! Gra jest genialna! Pozdrawiam!
